Lessons from prototyping

I’ve been working on prototypes for mixing potions in Jayden for a bit and surprisingly, mixing potions is a lot tougher than running scenarios. The main problem isn’t the mixing itself; adding ingredients to a potion isn’t that hard. The hardest part is making it fun.

Someone is using one of my domain names as a return address for their spam mails. This sucks. I don’t want people to think that I’m spamming them. Does anyone know if there’s a way to remedy this?

A couple of days ago, I placed an order with an office supplier. It was my first order with them and obviously they want to hook me as a return customer. To that end, they offered me a free gift today, but with a slight twist.

A teacher learning

To my dismay, I discovered that my second-year students still know next to nothing about programming in Java, even though they have had at least five months of courses on the subject. When I say ‘next to nothing’, I really do mean ‘next to nothing’. They still have trouble with basic things like semi-colons and curly braces and only two of them can write a Hello world-program by heart. This is, to put it mildly, disconcerning.
